Can't I just use AI?
You could let systems like Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow’s AI crank out a one-size-fits-all site. The catch? Learning those tools is a time-waste you can’t spare. You’re here for a site that screams YOU - hands-on, not hand-me down. Cue Human Power!! - yours truly, crafting your site live, with your vision, no AI mush.
We start with a free 30-minute chat to share your biz goals and site needs - I work with platforms like Weebly, Wix, ECWID, Carrd, and more to come. If we vibe, I’ll send a cost estimate. Then, we jump into online workshops (1-2 hours each, often a few sessions) to design and build your site live.You’ll see it come to life, learn to manage it, and guide the style - while I handle the techy bits. We’ll wrap up with the publishing process (domain and SEO guidance included), and I’ll keep you updated on costs (fair hourly rates). Your site, your rules, with a sprinkle of funky magic! 🪄
Getting prepared
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
A rough idea of your site type (eCommerce, single page, or artsy-fartsy - your call).
Some biz basics - a blurb about your business, why you do it, and a snappy elevator pitch.
Your own photos (no boring stock images like on this site 😉).
A bit of time for video chats and gathering content.
Some moolah for a domain, hosting (if needed), and my services - obviously.

I charge two rates - collaborative time is cheaper since you’re helping.
Teamwork Online: $45/hr (we’re in it together).
Me Solo: $60/hr (while you sip a coffee on the beach).

Small, simple, websites at a fixed price
If you're thinking, "Blimey, that sounds like a lot of hassle. I just want a simple, affordable website." then this option may be exactly what you're looking for.
If you don't need to be heavily involved in the design and build process, and you're happy with a straightforward website based on an existing template, I can create a professional Carrd website for a fixed price.
This option is best suited to single-page websites or small sites with up to five simple virtual pages.
We'll start with a quick video chat to discuss your requirements and confirm that a Carrd site is the right fit. You'll then choose a suitable Carrd template and provide the text and images you'd like included. I'll take care of the build and customise the design to suit your branding.

What's included
Initial consultation to determine whether this option suits your needs.
A professionally built Carrd website using an appropriate template.
Ongoing communication during the build process.
Minor template customisation, including colours, fonts, and styling adjustments.
Basic assistance connecting your existing domain name.
Future updates and maintenance available at my standard hourly rate.
What's not included
Carrd subscription fees (surprisingly affordable).
Domain registration or renewal costs (generally a small annual cost).
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) setup after launch.
A couple of things to watch out for
Scope Creep
If the project grows beyond a simple template-based website, pricing will move to my Workshop Web Design model.
Tight Deadlines
I need to fit projects into my existing workload, so there may occasionally be a short wait before I can begin.
